Oktra Service Disclaimer

Version 1.0 (2026-07-06). Every user must accept this disclaimer before first use of the Oktra application.

Please read this before using Oktra. By clicking "I understand and accept", you confirm the following:

1. Oktra automates bookkeeping. It can make mistakes.

Oktra uses automation, including artificial intelligence, to prepare your books: it categorizes transactions, proposes accounting entries, reconciles accounts, and produces reports. Automation is not infallible. Outputs can contain errors, including miscategorized transactions and incorrect entries. You (or your accountant) remain responsible for reviewing Oktra's work, approving entries before they are posted where approval flows apply, and verifying reports before relying on them or filing anything based on them.

2. Oktra is not your bank.

Oktra connects to your bank accounts read-only, to retrieve transaction data for bookkeeping. Oktra does not hold your money, cannot move your money, does not initiate payments, and is not a bank, payment institution, or e-money provider. Nothing in Oktra changes your relationship with your bank.

3. Oktra does not replace your accounting software. It enriches it.

Oktra works with your accounting platform, such as QuickBooks Online or Informer, not instead of it. Your accounting platform remains the system of record for your books. Oktra reads from it and posts entries to it (with your authorization); your subscription to and relationship with that platform, including its own terms and its role in statutory record-keeping, continue unchanged.

4. Oktra is not professional advice.

Oktra is software, not an accountant, tax advisor, auditor, or lawyer. Its outputs are not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. For decisions with legal or tax consequences, consult a qualified professional. Statutory responsibility for your company's books, filings, and taxes remains with you.

5. Your responsibilities.

Keep your account credentials and second factor secure.
Review and approve what Oktra proposes; correct errors when you find them (this also improves the service).
Keep your connected platforms (bank, accounting software) in good standing; Oktra cannot function without them.

6. Warranties and liability.

Oktra's full terms of service govern warranties and liability and prevail over this summary. In short:

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OKTRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. OKTRA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OKTRA IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, TAX PENALTIES, INTEREST, OR FINES - including losses arising from unreviewed reliance on automated output, from errors or omissions in data supplied by connected platforms (banks, data aggregators, accounting platforms), or from decisions made without professional advice. Aggregate liability is capped as stated in the terms of service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; where that is the case, they apply to you only to the extent permitted.

I understand and accept - Oktra can make mistakes and I remain responsible for my books; Oktra is not my bank; Oktra enriches, and does not replace, my accounting software.

Acceptance is recorded (version and timestamp) when you create your account in the Oktra application.
